Welcome Back…it’s been a long summer

We are back after a very long summer of integration, and calibration with our horses.

Are you the patient type? Would describe yourself as patiently giving your horses, or yourself, that much needed time to acclimate to new things? I would not say that about myself…LOL. I write this a with a slight grin knowing that this has been a very, very, long and trying summer for us here at HeartWalk. Between the horrid heat, extreme drought, and bugs we have finally made it to fall! This for us has also been a Sabbath or Shmita year. No we are not Jewish, but we do observe to a small extent some of the traditions that were handed down over the years by God’s people. We have found that these observances are very practical, and helpful.

Patience has never been my strong suit. Though I have always known I needed it. I am a very strong willed individual. I would not say that I am impatient, but my “go getter” personality makes me seem impatient. However, this summer has forced me to re-evaluate what I most want for my horses in the new format I created for them. The well-being of the horses is my main goal. So, with that in mind I had to slow down, and allow calibration to happen in “it’s” own time.

Now that the weather is FINALLY changing to cooler temps, (Fewwww….this has been one of the HOTTEST summers here in Texas in quite a while!) I was able to open up the fields, cut hay, and begin the next phase of the program. (More on that in detail in another post to come.)

Also, I took the summer off to think, and pray about where I would like HeartWalk to grow. I am adding in a vlog, and a podcast for those who prefer to listen rather than read. The vlog will, hopefully, be educational. It’s is my desire to create “influencer” type vlogs. I am still not monetizing these, nor do I plan too monetize. I want to provide as much content for free as possible. I prefer to keep my opinions totally my own, and not “paid” for. I feel I can only do that by staying free.

Also, I am not in the habit of giving nasty reviews so that will not be part of my content stream either. My goal is to be as uplifting as possible, and give people a place to “escape” the beta energy that surrounds our everyday lives. A place to slow down, and enjoy fun, inspiring, and loving content.

With that said, I want to take the time to approach the subject of “Faith Based” training/ horsemanship. I have a whole post about this subject coming, but for now I want to mention that I am a believer in Jesus. I based my training, and my horsemanship on Biblical principles. Everything I have implemented, or utilized should be traceable back to God’s word, as it has been handed down for generations.

Proverbs 12:10-A righteous person has regard for the life of his animal, But even the compassion of the wicked is cruel

I don’t intend, nor do I press, my faith on anyone. The beauty of my faith is that God gives choices. He doesn’t demand love from us….He desires to have a relationship with us. He just wants us to give him our heart faithfully. So if that good with you then please come hang out. If you are in any way uncomfortable about the subject of God, or faith you are not required to stay engaged; but we hope you do. You are welcome here. 🙂

Well, I think I will rest my fingers a bit from typing. I just felt it was time to check in. I will, hopefully, add more video, blog, and podcast content soon. I had so many experiences over the summer that I want to share for those of you who might be looking a few tips.

As always…May Lord Bless you and keep you.

All my love..Annie 🙂
